Frosh Orientation: In This Together

Every year, each rising class at SI comes back before the start of the school year. For the first time in over two years, the SI community celebrated its orientation with everyone in-person. Students gathered in the gym to start their school year off right. Freshman with the guidance of their Big Cats went to mass to celebrate their first gathering as a class in front of their parents. Then after the mass Ms. Levine gave the rundown for the day and expectations for the school year. Soon after the freshmen were split up into groups and traveled throughout the campus listening to discussions from Ms. Hernandez and Dr. Davis to the deans setting up guidelines on how to avoid detention. Wildcat nation made an appearance to help give Freshman the opportunity to see what it is like at an SI sporting event. The freshman finished with their photos and ID along with receiving their first locker.

“This year’s frosh orientation was fantastic. It was great to get to welcome the incoming students, and talk to them about our school, our expectations and the importance of creating a sense of belonging for everyone on our campus.” Ms. Sanchez

“The administration was thrilled about the enthusiasm, the energy, and the desire that the students have to be back on campus. We know this is going to be a great year, because like we told the parents and the students at orientation, we are in this together!” Ms. Sanchez said.
